station offers £2000 reward after burglary
A
REWARD of £2,000 is being offered to track down burglars who
struck at Vale Road Garage in Chesham.
Total Petrol stations said :
"We are offering this reward to any member of the public
who can supply information resulting in the arrest and conviction
of those who committed this crime. We
will not tolerate incidents of this nature. The safety and security
of staff and customers is an absolute priority and the reward
scheme is part of a raft of measures being introduced by the
company to combat forecourt crime".
Burglars struck at the service station at 5am on May 26 when
they broke into the shop. Police said the burglars stole goods
and fled from the store. Police are now studying the CCTV footage
of the incident.
The Total spokesman added: "Our security department is
working closely with the police to analyse the CCTV footage
in order to catch the perpetrators. We are constantly working
to improve safety to prevent this type of incident occurring
in the future at this and other service stations."
Total is offering the reward with Crimestoppers for any information
leading to the arrest and conviction of the burglars.
