Karl Brocklehurst, Mark Abdullah, James Keary,Mohammed Abdullah & Kevin Eastwood.

Kevin Eastwood, Executive Director of BOSS and the four other members of the Northampton F/c Watch Steering Group received Certificates of Appreciation from Northamptonshire police last night at an awards ceremony at Police HQ.( 10th June),

The Forecourt Watch Scheme in Northampton was set up in November 2003, since that time Kevin and his colleagues on the Steering Group have committed themselves and their businesses to tackling the problems of forecourt crime and especially prolific "drive-off" offenders, who are invariably wanted for other criminal activity which impacts on businesses and the local community.

Northampton police expressed their gratitude for the enthusiasm and commitment shown by these gentlemen in helping the Northampton Forecourt Watch Scheme to be implemented and developed across the whole of Northampton.

In addition: Maureen Wilson Memorial Award

Barry Holland, from Northamptonshire police, also received the Maureen Wilson Memorial Award, for being the driving force, within the police ,bringing together all the relevant partners within this innovative Forecourt Watch Scheme.

Barry has shown a high degree of motivation and enthusiasm not only to keep pushing for all BOSS forecourts to join but also to examine the police reporting process and introduce changes that were acceptable to both police and retailers.

The future of this Forecourt Watch Scheme will include ANPR activity and links to the NRCI database to provide prolific offender details. He will doubtless be involved in the future development of this scheme and a worthy winner of this award.
